Ch. Beauséjour

Ch. Beauséjour (previously known as Ch. Beauséjour Duffau-Lagarrosse) is one of the finest Premier Grand Cru Classé estates in Saint-Emilion. Situated between Ch. Canon and Ch. Angélus on the limestone plateau, it is one of the best positioned in the appellation.

The Duffau-Lagarrosse family has owned the property since 1847, with the wine estate established in 1869. The château has been classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé B since the Saint-Emilion classification was created in 1955, but, before the arrival of Nicolas Thienpont and Stéphane Derenoncourt as consultants in 2009, the property rarely lived up to its status – bar an exceptional 1990, which featured as one of Robert Parker’s desert island wines (earning 100 points).
