Deep gold colour. Very developed, with a mustiness that bears more than a passing resemblance to TCA. Apparently it’s a clean wine, though, and it certainly is rich with personality giving mushroom, sour cream, pine and cooked apple. Certainly doesn’t need ageing any further! (RH)

Currently sold by Huet. Acting as a bridge between the fizz and the still wines. Pale straw with a steady bead. Young, fresh, floral apple juice. Delicate and rapier-like acidity. Very vibrant. Bracing at the moment. (JR)
