RS 89 g/l, TA 8.51 g/l. Powerfully nutty from the moment it's poured. Roasted pecans, cobbler's glue and linseeds frame layer upon layer of roasted spelt, roasted buckwheat, deeply bitter-sweet tangerine peel, and deeply sweet tangerine and kombucha tang. Masses of concentration intention and power. It sweeps the mouth with firm, broad, uncompromising purpose. And the finish is almost shockingly spearminty, bright and toothpaste clean! Quite a surprising wine, in more ways than one. This could be fascinating to play with in terms of food pairing. I'd start with squid ink pasta or roast lamb and mint salsa. (TC)

Potpourri florals and spices, ginger nuts, headily perfumed. Then white-knuckle clenched on the palate; deep bitter orange into spice-souk dust into nepeta mintiness into roasted cumin seeds. Complex, searching, kaleidoscope fascinating, bearing its acidity like a carved escutcheon over the more delicate poached quince and rose petals at the heart of the wine. Long and lovely, if scalpel precise. (TC)
