Rather gentle yet comes with lots of very ripe tannins hidden underneath. I'd say it was a bit of a sleeping giant but there's nothing gigantic about it. Very neat, trim, tidy wine. (JR)

Good attack and intensity. Lift too. Dry tannins on the finish – perhaps just a bit too severe. Needs lots of time. Very, very dry on the finish. Less obvious fruit than many of these wines. A bit rasping. Whereas many of these wines try to win by ripe sweetness, this plays the dry card. A bit hollow in the middle. (JR)
