2005 Ihringer Winklerberg Spatburgunder Grosses Gewachs

Temperature control played a part and this was a much earlier harvest than the older wines. This wine was chosen to demonstrate the evolution in wine styles. Great stuff! Real freshness and fruit. At Dr Heger's suggestion, I tasted this from old to new and, boy, did they demonstrate that he is going in the right direction...! Bravo to him for being brave enough to show us his less successful older vintages. (JR)
