Ethereally pale ruby. A pronounced wild strawberry aroma, but soothing, like cool fingers and old damp stones. Yet on the palate, concentrated and bold, both sweetly rounded and shot with crackles of acidity. Bitter cherry and almonds, then dark herbs giving an almost pastis-like bitter bite on the finish. Tannins giving just enough friction. (TC)

Medium cherry red with pink rim; toasty and smoky on the nose; on the palate cherries, raspberries, plums and spices hold their own against a firm tannic background; sound structure and good length. (MS)
