Bright red. Heady perfume, with some burgundian elegance too. Should not be approached yet. Still quite severe but with lots of impressive, not overripe, fruit. Quite sleek without being overwrought. Promises very well but best left alone for quite a time. (JR)

Scented, but with a weary sigh rather than a breath of fresh air. Lively acidity and definite fruit weight. Much more successful than the Echézeaux. Dense but not fine. (JR)
