The 2002 Amour de Deutz Brut Millésime is precise and very well defined on the noble and intense nose, which indicates a gorgeous maturity. On the palate, this prestige cuvée shows a great purity, lightness and finesse combined with impressive intensity, complexity and tension. The persistent finish of the exceptional 2002 is nicely bitter and displays stimulatingly fresh lemon flavors. I also tasted the 1999, which displayed vegetal and earthy aromas on the nose, and was very matured and maybe a bit too austere.
