The 1964 Collection was fully resolved. Though quite pretty, the wine was probably better a few years ago, as it seemed to lack focus and definition.

A little loose and fading on the palate. Walnuts and deep, but dancing and succulent and still quite energetic. I can see a relation with the '82. Round texture, long. This is the sort of wine to cure a sore throat. A hot year. (JR)
