The 2006 Brut Vintage is pretty and soft, with warm, slightly oxidative overtones from partial vinification in barrel and a prevalence of Pinot. Spice, almond and dried orchard fruits open up on the supple, inviting finish. Although a solid effort, I can't say the 2006 is particularly exciting. The blend is 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay.
