Tasting notes
Drink 2015, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2015

The 2014 Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Aux Brûlées felt muted on the nose when I tasted it at the domaine following the Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru. The aromatics felt...shackled, possibly due to some reduction. The palate is better with quite rigid, chalky tannin and a good level of acidity, but I would be seeking more tension and energy on the finish. I would be intrigued to re-taste this at a later date, as it came across as a rabbit in the headlights kind of performance.
