Bright, deep red. Very ripe aromas of cherry, mocha and licorice. Suave and vibrant on the palate, with noteworthy energy to its flavors of black cherry, minerals and licorice. The very long finish features ripe tannins and lovely subtle persistence. Almost deceptively tastable today, but this should really be laid down.

Dark crimson. Quite perfumed – floral. Light and fresh and very dry on the finish. A bit cramped and tight. Briary. Something very drying on the finish. (JR)

Sweet ripe cherry and quite deeply coloured. Ripe on the palate too. More up front than at the end. Firm, just-fresh finish. (JH)

(13.4% alcohol; not yet racked) Bright red-ruby. Black cherry, menthol, licorice, chocolate and espresso on the very ripe nose; I was reminded of Saint-Emilion. Then dense, concentrated and structured, but with the sweetness of the vintage. Finishes with substantial broad, dusty, building tannins.
