Full bottle 1,592 g. Baked apples. Soft cotton-wool puffs of froth. Vanilla. A bit like a liquid madeleine. Loose knit and I’d prefer more structure – feels too lax and vague. I find myself wanting to say, ‘Sit up straight, don’t slouch!’. (TC)

40% Chardonnay, 60% Pinot Noir and Meunier. Higher dosage than their usual NV (around 17 to 18 g/l). Certainly richer, very apple-pie in structure and flavour. Perhaps for those who find the average champagne too acidic? Or maybe with a peach after lunch? Not terribly exciting. (TC)
A fresh and off-dry Champagne with round and easy texture and an easy finish. Medium body. Creamy. Cooked apples and pears. Some candied apple, too. Flavorful finish. Drink now.
Taittinger ventures into the night club with the NV Nocturne Sec, an off-dry wine that exhibits notes of honeyed orchard and stone fruits, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy palate with an uncomplicated, fruit-forward profile and a youthfully frothy mousse. Obviously, this isn't the wine to which this illustrious house owes its reputation.
