Drink 2018-2023, FINE+RARE Tasting Note

Clean, clear and vivid in the glass. On the nose a wave of citrus, lemon zest and then a cool , slightly saline minerality. On the palate, more of that intense citrus character deftly balanced by freshness and finely-tuned acidity. Alive in the glass, long and surprisingly complex with a touch of cream on the finish. Very impressive for the level, a Bourgogne that punches well above its weight. Sep 2017, FINE+RARE, Drink: 2018-2023

Stony, citrus nose, smells very grown-up for a Bourgogne Chardonnay. Stony and dry on the palate. A little bit chewy. Serious but not a lot of pleasure, a little severe. (JH)
