Score 17/20 · Drink 2023-2024, Jancis Robinson MW, May 2023

Spring 2023 release, in a 50-cl stoppered bottle (which looks almost like a 75-cl one). Light, fragrant-but-steely nose – not unlike a dry Riesling! Very long, pure and pungent. Lovely wine! And a fabulous aperitif. (JR)

Drawn direct from the cask, unfined and unfiltered, in April 2022. Only Lustau make three different en rama sherries. Light, fresh nose reminiscent of ferns. Quite a broad palate that reminds me of a full-bodied Côte de Beaune white burgundy. Very savoury finish and lighter-bodied than the two finos that have been released alongside this wine. (JR)

2019 release. Average age five years. Mid gold. Pronounced chamomile, dried apple skin, salted almond and yeasty notes – bags of intensity. Light to medium bodied, spicy, hay and chamomile palate, with lots of salted-almond complexity, and a really long, nutty finish. On the cusp between power and elegance. GV (TJ)

Each Lustau en rama bottling has an average age of five years. The Manzanilla was aged in the coastal town of Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Stinky, bready, very appealing and complete. Green finish. Lovely dovely. (JR)
