The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is plump, juicy and expressive, with lovely red berry and floral character adding lift as well as precision. I very much like the brightness here. The Oakville Cabernet is a selection from Tierra Roja that works quite well here as an entry-level wine.

Tor's 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Vine Hill Ranch is magnificent. Deep, plush and massively concentrated the 2018 possesses off the charts richness and power. Loads of pure crème de cassis, blackberries, licorice, tobacco, and loamy soil emerge from this full-bodied, rounded, mouth-filling beauty, which has ample mid-palate depth, velvety tannins, and big finish. The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (Oakville), a selection of Tierra Roja, is a fabulous introduction to this range. A rush of macerated dark cherry, spice, leather and licorice give the 2018 incredible immediacy, not to mention tons of pure appeal. Silky, elegant and light on its feet, the 2018 is absolutely delicious. The Oakville Cabernet shows the fruitier side of Tierra Roja. It spent 14 months in barrel, so a bit less than the vineyard designates.
