The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Village has an attractive peach and Nashi pear scented nose, well defined if not overly complex. The palate is well delineated with apricot and white peach, sweet and very pretty, so much so that this is going to be too tempting to cellar long-term.

A little subdued on the nose for a JMB wine! Lots of ripe fruit on the front palate though, then sufficient acidity. This may not be utterly thrilling but there's a little smoky reductive nose after the fruit to add interest. (JR)
