2018 Solanera Vinas Viejas

65% Monastrell, 20% Cabernet sauvignon, 15% Garnacha Tintorera. A single-vineyard wine from a 10-ha plot. A collaboration with US importer Eric Solomon (of European Cellars). Barrels between 2 and 5 years old. Powerful, tasty and very sweet. It has a touch of pepper to highlight. Very aromatic and smoky. A lot of power too, but it maintains freshness and very good balance. Bitterness is present, and it is perceived especially in the centre of the mouth. Also, a powerful, bitter-sweet finish. GV (FC)
