Tasting notes
Drink 2025-2034, FINE+RARE, Nov 2022

The Corton-Charlemagne that Nicolas Potel found is exquisite, despite the low yields. It has retained its persistence and character, with a more full-bodied structure than the elegant Chevalier-Montrachet. The nose opens up with a dense and rich bouquet of yellow plums, nuts and almonds. The palate is greatly balanced – with delicate acidity yet a rich, almost waxy, silken texture. Potel’s knowledge and connections are clear when tasting wines like this. The finish is clean and persistent. While excellent now, this will age gracefully.
