Dark crimson. Thick and dense and easy. Long and well balanced. Good effort – but a bit pricey. Super correct though. (JR)

Second wine of Pichon Longueville, this wine is never sold via négociants, only in restaurants, where it is ‘a good ambassador for the grand vin’, says Christian Seely. Mid berry purple. Slightly lean and green though VERY refreshing with good suave tannin management – sleek and a bit light and for early drinking. A little slight. (JR)
