Cask sample. Mid crimson. Sweet, ripe red cherries. A suggestion of dried cherries, too, quite ripe. On the palate, too, very ripe, with both fresh and dried fruits. The tannins are smooth but I'd like a little more freshness overall though this has chewy depths. (JH)

Wafting from the glass with notes of sweet plums, cherries and berries framed by a deft application of creamy new oak, the 2022 Vosne-Romanée Village is medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with a fleshy core of fruit and a giving, polished profile this year.
