Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2023-2026, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2023

Low tannin and high acid. No oak. Massolino deliberately makes this in what they regard is the historical style of Barbera in contrast to their oaked Gisep bottling. Pale crimson. Bitter-cherry nose. Very smooth, light fruit – much less forced and concentrated than many Barberas. Racy. Sandy texture on the end. (JR)
