Tasting notes

Tasting notes
Score 96/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2013

Medium red. Musky, highly expressive aromas of red fruits, smoke and minerals; the highest in volatile acidity of the tasting. Like liquid silk on the palate, boasting outstanding saline density and minerality and great inner-mouth lift. Delivers volume without any impression of weight. Finishes very long, with utterly lush tannins and sexy hints of herbs, underbrush and salty minerality. An essence of ripe-year Burgundy, and very much in the style of an Henri Jayer wine. I hope that the one remaining bottle of the '89 in my cellar is as sexy as this one was.
