Score 96/100 · Drink 2021-2040, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2021

The 2019 Spätburgunder Schlossberg GG shows a refined and refreshing yet incredibly intense and aromatic bouquet of pure cherries and a hint of currant. Silky, pure and refined on the palate, this is a full-bodied, energetic, fresh and tensioned Pinot with a very intense, French character that pairs power and intensity with finesse and stimulating salinity. A great, pure, absolutely refreshing and tensioned Pinot of great class. Incredibly salty but beautifully fresh and vertical on the finish. 13% alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in October 2021.

Lovely summer-flower aromas and behind them there’s fine red-cherry fruit. Very elegant, medium-bodied pinot noir with invigorating freshness that fits beautifully with the concentrated, fine tannins on the palate. Long, refined finish. Drink or hold.
