2022 Chiroubles

Full bottle 1,299 g.  Light and stemmy. On the fresh, herbal side of the spectrum (v fruit). The sharp, mouth-drawing sap of redcurrants; the sharp, cheek-red slap of whiplash acidity; the anise undercurrent of caraway seed. A day or two later, the fruit darkens to blueberry and blackberry, laced with light, dry, coir-curled tannins. Elegant and understated. (TC)
