Score 17/20 · Drink 2025-2033, Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com, Jan 2025

86% MV6 clone, 14% 115 clone. Hand-picked as individual blocks from 24 to 28 March 2022 (yields 2–3.3 t/ha) and sorted separately. The MV6 parcel was processed to a concrete tank while the 115 parcel remained in stainless steel. Both parcels were cold soaked for five days at 8 °C before being fermented using indigenous yeast. Each parcel was gently managed during ferment with a combination of plunging and pumpovers. After a natural malolactic fermentation and nine months' maturation in new (18%) and old French oak barriques the wine was blended, filtered and bottled. TA 5.9 g/l, pH 3.47. Another Tractor Pinot that is chock-full of persuasively charming fruit and laced with walled-garden loveliness. Lilting freshness and lithe lift. Raspberries, lime blossom, cherry blossom, bay leaf. Transparent tannins play hide and seek, sweet and musical. A melody in a glass. (TC)
