2023 Volnay Les Brouillards

Caroline Parent explained how this négoce bottling had previously been part of their range, however the owner decided to stop selling in 2016. Good news for them, however, that 2023 offered a big enough crop that they sold some of the fruit again. The wine is rich and dark with a creamy complexity. It’s concentrated and intense on the palate, with sweet red cherry that drives right through the wine. There’s a plushness but a nice grip of tannins too, with a particularly enjoyable intensity on the finish.
