2022 Pommard Les Fremiers

Cask sample. Deep crimson. Ripe-fruited, both fresh and dried cherries. Sweet spice of both fruit and oak. Deep, powerful with dry, savoury and a touch leathery. A bit rustic and the fruit seems a bit tired but perhaps this is just a phase given the rather old-fashioned style of winemaking. (JH)
