(a blend based on 60% merlot) Deep red. Perfumed aromas of redcurrant, plum, tobacco, cedar, leather and meat. Moderately dense and juicy, with a slightly peppery quality to the red berry and tobacco leaf flavors. Quite dry but light on its feet. This has personality! Finishes with dusty tannins and good lift.

Firm, some ripe Cabernet aromas. Neat tannins but not a great deal of mass. Maybe the tannins will already slightly intrude? (JR)

Inky core and black cherry rim. Violet-laced dark fruit. Dry, powdery compact tannins. Tannins a bit dry at the very end but there’s also a juicy freshness to finish. (JH)
