Score 93/100 · Drink 2024-2045, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2022

The 2014 Champagne Cuvée Oenophile Extra Brut is the most restrained of the three vintages at this stage, with fresh citrus zest and lime blossom as well as flinty reduction. It is lithe and linear, with a hint of bitterness that is not unpleasant. Pithy and stony, this is a wine that will appeal to those who appreciate wines about mineral texture and structure over opulence. Drink over 2025-2045.

Disgorged in December 2020, the 2014 Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru Oenophile Non Dosé offers up inviting aromas of citrus oil and dried white flowers mingled with hints of freshly baked bread and blanched almonds. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and incisive, with tangy acids and a pearly mousse, it concludes with a chalky, intensely saline finish.
