The Castello di Verduno 2012 Barbaresco is a stripped down and simple expression that shows Nebbiolo in its naked glory. You get bright cherry and black currant aromas with spice, tar and delicately fragrant black truffle.

The 2012 Barbaresco is a terrific example of the vintage at its best. Freshly cut roses, sweet red berries, mint and cinnamon all lift from the glass. Mid-weight and refreshing, with lively acidity to balance the radiant fruit, the 2012 is everything Barbaresco can be; open-knit, seductive and just plain delicious. Drink it over the next handful of years.
