Score 88/100 · Drink 2009-2015, Robert Parker, Jun 2009

This fully mature 1990 reveals plenty of lightening and bricking at the edge. Aromas of grilled meat, leather, cedar, herbs, and smoky black fruits are followed by a low acid, plush wine that lacks the concentration seen in the top wines of the vintage. It should drink nicely for another 5-6 years. Release price: ($300.00/case)

Dark ruby color, with mineral, berry and wet soil. Medium-bodied, with firm tannins and a long, fresh finish. Pretty wine. Elegant Talbot.--1990 Bordeaux retrospective. Best after 2003. 25,000 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2000

Quality has not necessarily always lived up to this property’s Fourth Growth status, however there have been significant improvements in recent years, with a sustainable focus in the vineyard, and new winery and cellar.
