Score 95/100 · Drink 2025-2036, Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2023

The 2020 Oublié Extended wafts up with an earthy blend of dusty florals and black cherries lifted by a menthol hint. It's soothingly soft and round with plush red berry fruits and cooling acidity. The 2020 finishes long and potent with fine-grained tannins that tug at the palate as tart raspberry hints fade. The Oublié Extended is a blend of 54% Grenache, 27% Syrah and 19% Mourvèdre that refines for eighteen months in 40% new French oak.

The 2020 Oublié 22, matured for 22 months in French oak, has a medium ruby-purple color and pretty aromas of cassis, violet, chargrill, coffee beans and sage. The full-bodied palate is bursting with perfumed fruits supported by grainy tannins and mouthwatering acidity, and it has a long, violet-and-iron tinged finish. It has loads of personality and is drinkable straight out of the gate.

Fragrant but pretty deep, with sweet berries, slightly grilled meaty accent and flowers on the nose that extend to a medium-bodied palate with tight and juicy tannins. Crunchy and nicely drinkable. 56% grenache, 24% syrah and 20% mourvedre.
