Gneiss – mainly Loibenberg and some Kellerberg in the eastern – warmer – end of the Wachau. M stands for Monumental, ie this is not a single-vineyard wine. Pale gold – deeper than some. Rich, ripe and honeyed. Massive, broad and spicy – definitely monumental but still all in balance and has incredible length. A wine to sip slowly. Honeyed aftertaste. (JH)

Potent, thick, perfumed, honeyed. Lots of ripe fruit and spice. Round, voluptuous, Rubenesque. (RH)
