The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny Village has fine delineation on the nose with subtle cranberry and crushed strawberry scents, a touch of tomato leaf in the background. The palate is underpinned by fine tannin, quite precise and poised yet surprisingly backward with almost a recalcitrant grip on the finish. Therefore give this another couple of years in bottle. Tasted at Goedhuis's Burgundy tasting at Vintners Hall.

Dark crimson. Very full and opulent nose. Sweet and ripe and blustering. (JR)

Good dark red. Creamy aromas of black cherry, raspberry, dark chocolate and smoke. A fat, sweet fruit bomb but with a surprising spine of racy acidity giving it a slightly disjointed character today. Finishes with a note of dark chocolate. This very young wine has all the elements but comes across as a bit spiky today.
