Notes of citrus oil, confit lemon, pear and wet stones introduce the 2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Castets, a medium to full-bodied, ample and concentrated wine that's open-knit and giving, concluding with a chalky finish. It's a pretty, charming wine produced from younger vines.
The 2020 Saint-Aubin les Castets 1er Cru offers vivid scents of dew-speckled green apples, fresh pear and wet limestone on the nose. The taut, focused palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, but there is satisfying concentration on the finish, which is flecked with white chocolate and almond. Give this lovely Saint-Aubin a couple of years in bottle.
