Good deep red. Very ripe nose dominated by cherry and sweet oak. Broad, ripe and oaky, with lovely restraint to its sweetness. Fruit-driven red raspberry and cherry flavors framed and lifted by new oak. A big wine with a substantial tannic structure. But the tannins are quite fine.

A beautifully elegant nose of pure and sweet aromas which are nuanced, airy, detailed and incredibly seductive while possessing the classic coolness and reserve complement middle weight flavors that are supple, silky and minerally yet there is ample muscle lurking beneath the sophisticated exterior. This is still very young with outstanding length and finishing intensity and while there is a noticeable touch of crushed leaf, it actually adds depth rather than coming across as vegetal. This may very well be Méo's best wine in 2004. Allen Meadows, Burghound Jul01,2008
