A blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Merlot, this well-known and popular Médoc has attractive, soft black and red currant fruit, earth and spice. It is not terribly complex, but it is silky textured and best drunk over the next 4-5 years.

Ripe dark-fruit aroma with just a slight leafy lift. Lovely freshness and gentle harmony. No shouting but everything in place. Juicy fresh finish. (JH)

Very immediate and classic nose – super savoury, loads of cassis and cedar. Oak is a little forward on the palate, and the intensity is lighter than expected, but this is very pleasing and accurate otherwise. (RH)
