2016 Archery Summit Pinot Noir 100% Whole Cluster

Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2016 Whole Cluster Cuvée Pinot Noir has a touch of gunflint-like reduction on the nose to begin, giving way to baked black cherries and macerated blackberries with notions of earth and spice in the background plus hints of bitter chocolate and coffee bean. Medium-bodied and fuzzy textured in the mouth, it offers red and black fruits and herbal notes, with bright, appealing acidity, finishing spicy. A second bottle showed only slightly better, with more subdued roasted coffee notes.
