The deep ruby/purple-hued 2005 Pinot Noir Lindsay Estate offers up aromas of spring flowers, forest floor, pomegranate, kirsch, and raspberries. With good acidity and ripe tannin, this medium to full-bodied, pure Pinot should drink nicely for 7-10 years. Previously recommended: 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa (90), 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard (95+), 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard (92+), 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Hyde Vineyard (91), 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard (94). Deep ruby. Powerful, oak spice-accented blackberry and cherry aromas are ripe and assertive. More weighty and rich than your garden-variety pinot, with deep dark fruit flavors and solid tannins on the finish. The oak notes repeat, giving this a distinctly sweet quality.
