Medium red. Nose reveals an almost chocolatey, liqueur-like ripeness, with a suggestion of licorice. Fat, sweet and extremely rich; open-knit and silky. As charming as this is today, it also boasts wonderfully fragrant, sappy pinot fruit and considerable depth. Just a hint of white fruits in the background. Finishes lush and long, with very fine-grained tannins. Deceptively delicious today, this powerful grand cru should reward a decade of cellaring.

Medium red. Aromas of game, smoke, earth and minerals, plus a hint of quince. Fat, lush, dense and sweet; a big, deep, powerful Corton with a mouthcoating texture nicely framed by strong acidity. Very full grand cru, finishing firm and long, with a hint of smoked meat. Offers outstanding potential.
