Good deep red. Raspberry and underbrush on the nose. Fat, lush, sweet and opulent; chunkier than the Chambolle villages but not roasted. In fact, this big boy has the extract for aging.

Perhaps the finest Morey-St.-Denis Clos de la Bussiere to date, the 2003 bursts from the glass with violets and blackberries. From a terroir heavy in clay, this medium-bodied wine is packed with ripe black fruits and spices. Deep, well-structured by loads of fine, sweet tannin, this is a candidate for drinking between 2007 and 2012. Importer: Diageo Chateau and Estate Wines Company, New York, NY; tel. (212) 419-1400

Good full red. Wilder aromas of spices, licorice and underbrush. Juicy and more serious than the Chambolle villages, less soft and easy today. A more square wine, finishing with firm tannic spine. But not longer than the Chambolle.
