The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos de la Bussière 1er Cru does not really respond on the nose; it is a bit flat compared to its peers with the whole bunch singing from a different hymn sheet to the fruit. The palate seems quite dull and lacks some vigour. Again, I think there is some whole bunch that dictates the overall wine. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

Medium ruby-hued and translucent, the 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos De La Bussière offers pretty, floral, and stemmy notes of ripe cherries, mulberries, rose petals, and spice. It's medium-bodied, soft, seductive, and elegant, with mid-weight richness and depth, a supple, layered mouthfeel, and integrated acidity. It's already drinking well yet holds up nicely to air and should have another decade or so of prime drinking. Drink 2025-2035.
