The 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru takes time to meld together in the glass. This has darker fruit than Comte Liger-Belair, earthy with touches of iodine and a seaweed trait. This is slightly richer than the aforementioned wine. The palate is medium-bodied with a viscous texture, opulent and a little Tuscan in style. It is thoroughly enjoyable and luxuriant, though it just misses some typicité. A hint of balsamic appears on the aftertaste. How outrageous do you like your Echézeaux?
