Score 93/100 · Drink 2023-2029, Matthew Luczy, Wine Advocate, Oct 2024

The 2019 Homestead is bright and woody on the nose, focused on red-fruited energy framed with high-toned spices and potpourri aromas. The plush purity found throughout the lineup is displayed on the palate, leading to a savory, finely structured finish with impressive length. A massively overperforming introduction to one of the Central Coast's finest producers, this is a blend of 57% Grenache, 23% Mourvèdre, 12% Carignan and 8% Syrah.

The 2019 Homestead is a bold, powerful, Grenache-based blend. Intense red fruit, cedar, spice, tobacco, menthol and dried flowers all hit the palate. A wine of substance and power, the 2019 has a ton to offer. I would give it a few years in the cellar, as the tannins are a bit imposing today.
