The 2018 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley was made with 27% whole cluster and about 40% new oak. Medium ruby, it opens with delicate citrus peel, potpourri, charcuterie and autumn leaves with a core of fresh red and black berries. The palate is medium-bodied, silky and understated without lacking concentration, and it is juicy and uplifted with a long, amaro-laced finish.

Starting with the 2018 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley, terrific notes of spiced cherry and strawberry fruits, white flowers, and hints of loamy earth all emerge from this pure, medium-bodied, elegant beauty. It's not the most complex Pinot Noir out there, but it has remarkable purity, silky tannins, and a great finish. I'd be happy to drink it!
