Tasting notes
FINE+RARE, Nov 2023

This is stunning, with floral, delicate aromas and pretty red berry fruit, leading to an ethereal palate – with incredibly fine. Despite the wine’s translucence, there’s stunning intensity to the fruit here – and a long, sweet, scented finish with savoury undertones. The oak stands out a little at this youthful stage, but with time should integrate beautifully.

Double magnum served at Caractère by Véronique Drouhin. Very sweet and somehow ‘thick’. Needs time to gain complexity. (JR)

Made with 40% whole clusters in the fermentor. The stems bring in some of the dried flower and cedar aromas that usually come from aging. Amazing aromas of forest floor, mushrooms and wild berries, with deep, broad plums, sour cherries and blackcurrants on the palate. Racy acidity carries it beautifully through the finish. Best from 2028.
