From an east-facing slope on the same ranch as Morlet's other Pinot Noirs, the 2022 Pinot Noir En Famille features lovely mixed red and black cherry perfumes plus hints of roses and even stone fruit. All barrel-fermented in Darnajou puncheons and then aged in Gauthier, it's medium to full-bodied, plush, soft and round on the palate, finishing long and perhaps a touch warm but luscious and lingering.

The 2022 Pinot Noir En Familles is also sourced from Fort Ross-Seaview, from vines planted in 1990 on southeast-facing Goldridge soils. It has a highly distinctive personality in the range, with an earthy profile in the glass revealing aromas of fresh leather, porcini, dark minerals, and black raspberries. Ripe and long, it fills the palate with a plush feel, although it never gets out of balance, and it has a lovely, expansive feel, with ripe tannins. As it slowly tapers, it shows off a lightly earthy finish, but it remains clean and long. Drink 2026-2046. 180 cases were produced.
