Good medium red. Highly expressive nose offers raspberry, leather and smoked meat. Sweet in the mouth but more primary than the Haut-Doix thanks to fresh acids and solid underlying minerality. Finishes with good length, brisk acidity and a hint of leather.

Moderately saturated medium red. Musky, primary aroma dominated by raspberry. Then quite closed and unforthcoming on the palate, with an almost Bonnes-Mares-like peppery austerity and harder tannins giving the finish a youthfully bitter quality. Less sweet than the Haut-Doix. This will need more time in bottle than the Haut-Doix.
