The 2009 Dogliani Vigna del Prey emerges from the glass with an exciting array of wild cherries, spices, tar and game. This is a somewhat wild, animalistic Dolcetto, yet there is just enough polish to balance some of the wine's more extroverted leanings. The finish turns slightly firm, but that won't be an issue at the dinner table. This is chock full of personality.

This is a fabulous set of wines from Boschis, a producer that doesn’t get anywhere near the attention they deserve. These wines are loaded with personality and character.
